Sarah was the first bride to contact Salutations after seeing one of my invitations on Pinterest—which I found pretty exciting. As a bonus, she was an absolutely fantastic person to work with. I loved our collaboration. She and her fiance, Sean, were fleeing their busy lives in Manhattan for a gorgeously peaceful, quiet outdoor celebration at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms in nearby Princeton, New Jersey. We started with a save the date, printed with thermography, which added a tactile element and shine without the cost of something like letterpress or foil.
The invitations that had pointed Sarah to Salutations were Olivia's. She wanted a similar design, but more color and some variation in the graphic elements. I love the way these turned out... it was a good exercise in reminding me as a designer that small changes can make a big difference in the overall feel of a project. Even using charcoal as the main text color (instead of brown) dramatically altered the tone of the suite. We also incorporated more of the palette from that beautiful floral stock, specifically greens, golds and reds, added an accommodations card and used pretty rust-colored shimmer envelopes.
We also did programs for the ceremony, using this absolutely beautiful jade-colored matte stock as a layer between the front and back. They were simple and sweet, but a favorite of all the programs I've done.
